Administration & Finance

The Administration & Finance division oversees many services, most of which are invisible to Mount visitors and, for a large part, the Mount community as well. But these behind-the-scenes personnel are vital to the smooth operations and functioning of the two campuses. They include accounting/AP; analysis and budgets; bookstore; campus safety (including security, emergency management and environmental health and safety); copy and graphics; facilities management (including parking and transportation); food services; human resources; payroll; and student accounts.

Enrollment Management

The Enrollment Management team works to recruit and retain students for all divisions – undergraduate, Weekend/Evening & Online College and graduate – who possess the inherent skills necessary to thrive in a collegiate environment and who are eager to challenge themselves to succeed, become leaders and give back to their communities. Prospective students are likely to encounter members of the team at college fairs, open houses and during on-campus visits. Their staff is ready to answer questions about the University environment, degree program specifics, the application process and financial aid resources. In many cases, a member of the enrollment team may be one of the first direct interactions a prospective student has as they consider the Mount as their future home. If you’re a prospective student, feel free to reach out to the team directly – they’re eager to help!

Institutional Advancement

The Institutional Advancement team produces a hub of activity that connects many sectors of the Mount community. University & External Events produces all the behind-the-scenes logistics of the Mount’s events, as well as external group rentals and filming on the campuses. The Individual Giving team works with donor alumnae and Mount friends to secure contributions to the Mound Fund as well as scholarships, restricted and planned gifts, while Institutional Giving works with corporations, foundations and government entities to secure grants for everything from students’ scientific research to new equipment to student travel for our global initiatives. Alumnae Relations keep graduates connected to the University through events, career connections and volunteer and mentorship opportunities. Marketing and Communications promotes the University to both external and internal audiences via the newsroom, print publications, special projects as well as on our social media platforms. It also handles media relations. Advancement Services provides the team with data and database management to support their work.

Student Affairs

Student Affairs has a broad reach, touching students from the moment they attend first year orientation, designed to introduce them to the Mount community and provide them with strategies to set them on a path to academic success.

The Mount’s Women’s Leadership program and the four core principles behind Mount Leads are designed to help each individual cultivate their leadership potential. Residential and commuter students alike are encouraged to follow the tenets of the Wellness Movement and develop lifelong habits that promote physical, emotional and spiritual health under the guidance of staff and the nationally recognized Peer Wellness Advocates. Other student involvement opportunities include Student Ambassadors, ISAE (Institute for Student Academic Enrichment), a federal TRiO Title IV grant program, and services for military and veteran students.

With an eye to the future, students can turn to Career & Professional Development for help with internships, career mentors, post-graduate employment and assistance with choosing and applying for graduate programs.

Division of Equity, Diversity and Justice

The Division of Equity, Diversity and Justice (EDJ) works to assist the University in meeting its strategic goal of becoming an antiracist institution. Highlighting the need for collaborative partnerships, it will take the entire Mount community working together in order for the University to reach its EDJ goals. The vice president oversees EDJ-related policy-change and strategic priorities and the Center for the Advancement of Women, while the Bernadette Gonzaque Robert Center for Equity, Diversity and Justice works closely with students, faculty and staff. The Center organizes programs that challenge the status quo through an examination of culture, history and social justice.

Provost Office

The Provost and the Provost’s Council work with the President to establish academic priorities and allocate the necessary funds to meet those objectives. They establish academic standards, assess student outcomes and develop curriculum following the University’s LACE (Liberal Arts Core Education) guidelines. These new courses, minors/majors and certificate programs are developed to meet the desires of the students as well as to ensure their competitiveness in the workforce and in graduate programs.
