Preparing for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a challenging and rigorous process that demands immense dedication, time and effort. The exam, which determines whether a candidate is ready to begin practicing as a nurse, covers a wide range of topics essential for patient care. Stephanee Beggs ’20, ABSN, understands well the hard work and determination required to prepare for this exam. The renowned nursing educator, Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneur and recent graduate successfully passed the exam by creating her own study method, which involved recording her own study sessions and developing custom study guides.

Since launching her company, RNExplained Inc., in 2020, Stephanee has helped more than a million nurses and nursing students with tutorials and study materials on topics like fundamentals of nursing, pharmacology and pediatrics. Determined to support as many aspiring nurses from Mount Saint Mary’s University as possible, Stephanee recently returned to the Mount to offer a free NCLEX prep session. During this session, she provided actionable insights and tips to help students navigate the exam with confidence, and donated her sought-after study guides (valued at $150) to all attendees.

Nursing student Amy Tureaud ’26 follows Stephanee’s engaging and relatable nursing content on social media. With over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, Stephanee is well-known in the nursing community. “I did not know that Stephanee is a Mount alumna. It was really special to learn about that and to meet her in person. Her presentation was extremely helpful, and I plan to use her tactics as I prepare for the NCLEX,” says Amy.
